GETTING IT INSTALLED
Once the 017-067TR-100 is on your bench, a few tips to get a clean result:
- Test-fit one first. Try a boot on a terminated 012-027SLM-100 plug and your cable before you boot the whole batch, so you know it fits your cable.
- Make sure it seats fully. The boot should sit snug at the back of the plug, and the latch should still move freely.
- Use it on plug ends only. Boots are for male RJ45 plugs. Keystone jacks and patch panel ports have their own strain relief.
- Respect the cable’s bend radius. The boot helps, but keep cable bends gentle near the plug.
